Water Conservation on Dairy Farms: Understanding and Reducing Water Consumption.
In our final installment of conversations on environmental sustainability, DRECA investigated water consumption on dairy farms. As agricultural production increases, it puts more pressure on water resources. In an effort to conserve more water on farm, it is important to understand where you are using the most water and strategies to reduce consumption and/or reuse water. There are a number of informational resources available to dairy producers to help improve water use efficiency that can benefit the farm and the environment.
