Ingredients
2 cups | (500 ml) | milk |
2 tbsp | (25 ml) | lemon juice |
2 cups | (500 ml) | all-purpose flour |
2 tbsp | (25 ml) | granulated sugar |
1 tsp | (5 ml) | baking powder |
1 tsp | (5 ml) | baking soda |
1/4 tsp | (1 ml) | nutmeg |
1 tsp | (5 ml) | cinnamon |
2 | (large) | eggs |
3 tbsp | (45 ml) | melted butter |
2 | (medium) | apples, peeled and thinly sliced |
butter and maple syrup for serving |
Directions
- To sour milk, mix with lemon juice.
- Combine dry ingredients together in a bowl.
- Whisk eggs, melted butter and soured milk in a medium bowl. Add to flour mixture with the apples.
- Lightly grease a large frying pan and heat over medium heat. Place 1⁄4 cup of mixture into hot pan. Cook until bubbles start to appear on the top of the pancakes. Flip and cook for 2 minutes or until golden.
- Serve hot topped with butter and maple syrup if desired.
