Ingredients
1 cup | (250 ml) | whole milk |
1/3 cup | (80 ml) | sugar |
1 1/2 tbsp | (22.5 ml) | unsweetened cocoa powder, sifted |
1 tbsp | (15 ml) | cornstartch |
1/8 tsp | (0.6 ml) | salt |
1/4 cup | (60 ml) | semi-sweet chocolate, small pieces or chips |
1 tsp | (5 ml) | unsalted butter, room temp |
1/2 tsp | (2.5 ml) | vanilla extract |
Directions
- In a large sauce pan combine milk, sugar, cocoa powder, corn starch and salt. Stirring constantly, cook until thickens to the consistency of a pudding.
- Remove pan from the heat, now add chocolate, butter and vanilla. Stir until the chocolate is melted and fully incorporated.
- Transfer the thickened mixture to popsicle molds, add sticks and freeze for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
