Sweet Dessert Quesadilla
4 | ancient grain tortilla wraps | |
4 tbsp | (60 ml) | peanut butter, divided |
1 cup | (250 ml) | sliced fruit, divided (banana, strawberries, blueberries, or fruit of your choice) |
1 tbsp | (15 ml) | butter |

1/2 cup | (125 ml) | vanilla Greek yogurt, for dipping |
Savoury Dessert Quesadilla
4 | ancient grain tortilla wraps | |
1 1/2 oz | (50 g) | Canadian Brie cheese, cut into thin slices |
1 cup | (250 ml) | sliced pear |
1 tbsp | (15 ml) | butter |
chocolate or butterscot sauce (optional) | ||
sliced fruit for topping (optional) | ||
1/2 cup | (125 ml) | vanilla Greek yogurt, for dipping |
Directions
- Heat a large non-stick pan over medium-low heat.
- Spread half of each tortilla with 1 tbsp (15 ml) peanut butter (if using). Top peanut butter (or other spread) with 1/4 cup (60 ml) each of sliced fruit of choice or cheese. Fold tortilla in half.
- Melt butter in the pan and swirl to lightly coat the pan's surface. Place prepared quesadilla in the pan. Allow to cook for about 2 minutes, or until lightly browned. Flip over and allow to cook another 2 minutes. Remove from pan and cut into 3 triangles.
- Serve with yogurt for dipping, additional fresh fruit, or sauce, if desired.
