Ingredients

Banana Bread

1 cup (250 ml) all-purpose flour
1 cup (250 ml) whole wheat flour
1/2 cup (125 ml) sugar
1 tbsp (15 ml) baking powder
1/2 tsp (2 ml) baking soda
1/2 tsp (2 ml) salt
1 egg
3/4 cup (175 ml) milk
1/4 cup (60 ml) butter, softened
4 bananas, mashed
1/2 cup (125 ml) copped walnuts

Banana Bread French Toast

4 eggs
2/3 cup (150 ml) milk
2 tsp (10 ml) sugar
1/4 tsp (1 ml) salt
12 slices banana bread (or bread of your choice)

Directions

Banana Bread

  1. Preheat oven to 350F (180C).
  2. Sift dry ingredients together.
  3. Beat eggs, milk, butter, and mashed bananas in a seperate bowl.
  4. Add liquid ingredients to dry ingredients. Beat for 1 minute; batter will be lumpy.
  5. Add chopped walnuts
  6. Bake for 50 minutes or until a knife inserted comes out clean.

  1. In a deep pie plate, beat eggs; add milk, sugar and salt.
  2. Dip bread in egg mixture.
  3. Lift bread onto hot griddle and brown on both sides.
